Work. It’s a funny old thing. My first job was in a greengrocer
at
the age of 14. It didn’t go well. My second job was baby-sitting. That
didn’t go too well either. Turning my back on vegetables and babies,
I began writing for football magazines. I worked on Loaded back in
the days when it was a revolution in publishing. I wrote features for
top notch magazines such as Marie Claire, Esquire,
Q and Time Out,
had a column in The Guardian and presented and
co-produced short films
about football and music along the way.
Since then I’ve had a book published in the UK, USA and Australia,
set up my own clothing label and online boutique
and now primarily work as
a freelance copywriter for London and Brighton based creative agencies,
as well as running my own PR & marketing business. If you've got
a problem and no-one else can help, and even if you can find them, don't
hire 'The A-Team'. They make for great television but they'd be lousy
copywriters and I don’t
know if they’d be any good at PR, either. Hire me instead.
